Veerbala Kisan Call Center
Morarka Foundation initiated a project “Veerbala Protsahan Project” in order to make village women independent. Through this project we took initiative to train village women on basic IT skills and Data entry. This made their lives easy as they were able to enter the data from their home only.  Morarka Foundation has now introduced phones to the computer educated village women. This has made them more independent, as now they can directly communicate to the farmers on phone to take all the necessary information and enter the data into the server through internet.

Last year we took a step to train new Veerbalas Project in Jhajar. During their technical training, all the women were also taught about the Software and the hardware. They were taught basic computer skills and data entry of farm diaries of farmers from our project areas.  

It was a triumphant moment for all of us especially Mr. Pankaj Sharma and his team of trainers who were instrumental in conducting the training.  Now 18 Veerbala are working with us & managing database of 1500 Farmers.

1.Goals of Farmer Call Center

1.Spreading awareness among farming community about new technologies available in market.

2.Maintain effective and continuous contact with farmer.

3.Timely resolution of problems that farmers face in day to day activities.

4.Effective documentation so as to ease the process of organic certification.

5.Making farmer aware of the pests and diseases in crops and also telling them the prevention and protection methods.

6.Dissemination of market price information.

7.Providing knowledge and instructions in developing bio-inputs on farm.

8.Enabling them with the instruction of use of bio-inputs.

9.Providing farmers with knowledge to increase the productivity and quality of produce.

10.Helping farmers in maintain the project and farm records.

11. Informing farmers about new storage techniques.

12. Enabling farmers about the grading techniques of different crops. This will help them in getting best price for different grades.

13. Providing them with the procurement plan of Morarka Foundation.

14.Helping farmers develop crop-rotation plan.

15. Increase awareness in farmers regarding cash crops such as potato, ginger, onion etc.
 

16. Soil and water testing information and explaining the importance of these tests.

17. This call center provide farmer a platform to voice his opinion and concerns.

20. Filling in the ICS farm diary so that entire farm record is maintained.
